Play me, I'm yours...

Luke Jerram is a genius. He is the artist behind the street piano series Play Me, I'm Yours. These pianos have been set up in a few cities around the world, most recently in London where there were 30 different locations ranging from parks, random places on the street and outside cathedrals.

I love that it provides an opportunity for people to share their creativity to a massive audience. It brings out people who love music and love to play but may not have a piano in their home. What better way to bring a community together than through music?

A couple of my favorite videos:

I love the impromptu rap...

And this kid? Um. Wow. Chopin isn't the easiest stuff to play, he makes it look so easy!

The Girl Effect

I learned about The Girl Effect on one of my favorite blogs: Le Quaintrelle. She's doing an awesome "girl power giveaway" right now. Head on over to her blog to learn more about inspiring women, this great cause and how to get involved.
